US SEC Accuses Mango Markets of Providing Unregistered Crypto Token, Reports Reuters
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced on Friday that it has charged the cryptocurrency trading platform Mango Markets for conducting unregistered sales of its digital asset token, which has been classified as a security by the regulator.
Additionally, the SEC reached settlements with Mango Labs and Blockworks Foundation due to their failure to register as brokers. Earlier this year, a jury in Manhattan convicted a cryptocurrency trader of commodities fraud related to manipulating the Mango Markets exchange, resulting in the theft of approximately $110 million from the platform.
