Venezuelan Government Sold 73 Tonnes of Gold to UAE and Turkey Last Year, Says Legislator – Reuters
CARACAS (Reuters) – Opposition legislator Carlos Paparoni stated on Wednesday that the administration of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro sold 73 tonnes of gold to the United Arab Emirates and Turkey last year without following proper regulations.
Paparoni also highlighted that since Monday, Maduro’s government has faced difficulties in transferring funds between its accounts at European Union banks. The Venezuelan Information Ministry did not provide an immediate response to requests for comments.
