Michael Saylor Delivers Strong Bitcoin Message in German: What Was Discussed?

Michael Saylor, cofounder and chairman of MicroStrategy, recently shared a message aimed at the cryptocurrency community, centered around Bitcoin. Speaking in German, he stated, “Es ist kein Notfall, bis du kein mehr hast,” which translates to, “It is not an emergency until you run out of Bitcoin.”

This message coincides with news that the German government has completed its Bitcoin sales, having recently admitted to selling 49,858 Bitcoin linked to a legal case. The government categorized this sale of nearly 50,000 Bitcoins as an “emergency sale.”

Saylor’s statement seems particularly relevant in light of the government’s actions, emphasizing that the real concern arises only when one exhausts their Bitcoin reserves.

In January, the German government received a substantial amount of Bitcoin from a suspect involved in alleged unauthorized commercial activities and money laundering. Bitcoin’s price has experienced fluctuations recently, driven by speculation about these government sales and ongoing payouts to creditors of the bankrupt Japanese crypto exchange Mt. Gox.

Despite these challenges, the crypto market is recovering as fears regarding the German government’s Bitcoin sales diminish. Bitcoin briefly climbed above $66,000 in a recent session, reaching a high of $66,139 after experiencing five consecutive days of gains. However, it has since experienced a slight decline, trading at $64,864 at the time of this report.
