
Cryptocurrency Theft Leads to $224M Lawsuit Against AT&T
Michael Terpin, an entrepreneur and cryptocurrency trader from the United States, has initiated a $224 million lawsuit against telecommunications giant AT&T. He alleges that the company engaged in fraud and negligence when a significant amount of tokens was stolen from his personal account. According to reports, the suit was filed in the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, where Terpin stated that three million tokens were taken on January 7 of this year through a “digital identity theft” incident involving his mobile phone account, which is provided by AT&T.
Terpin is known for co-founding the angel investor group BitAngels in 2013 and the crypto fund BitAngels/Dapps Fund in 2014. He currently serves as a senior advisor in the cryptocurrency space.
