Title: Portugal Stock Market Declines as Key Sectors Struggle

Portugal’s stock market closed lower on Friday, primarily driven by declines in several key sectors.

At the end of trading in Lisbon, the main index fell by 0.06%.

The top performer of the session was Banco Comercial Portugues, which remained unchanged at 0.42. In addition, Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA saw a gain of 0.62%, rising 0.02 points to close at 2.42. EDP Renováveis also performed well, increasing by 0.53% or 0.08 points to reach 15.16.

Conversely, the worst-performing stocks included Mota Engil SGPS SA, which dropped 1.57%, trading at 2.50 at the close. Altri SGPS SA lost 0.91%, closing at 4.81, while Semapa fell 0.82%, ending the day at 14.44.

Overall, the Lisbon Stock Exchange recorded 15 declining stocks compared to 10 advancing, with 5 stocks remaining unchanged.

In the commodities market, Brent crude oil for November delivery fell by 0.40%, settling at $74.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, crude oil for November delivery decreased by 0.11% to $71.08 a barrel. The December contract for gold rose by 1.24%, trading at $2,646.90 per troy ounce.

In currency exchange, EUR/USD saw a slight change of 0.04%, trading at 1.12, while EUR/GBP was also steady, increasing by 0.17% to 0.84. The US Dollar Index Futures rose by 0.12% to reach 100.44.
