“He Broke His Word” — Ex-ConsenSys Staff Sue Founder Over Employee Equity Deal
Over two dozen former employees of the infrastructure firm ConsenSys have initiated a new lawsuit against the company’s founder and CEO, Joseph Lubin. The lawsuit centers around allegations that Lubin diluted employee equity shares, contradicting prior assurances.
The former employees contend that Lubin, also a co-founder of Ethereum, violated a “no-dilution promise” made in 2015. This claim was highlighted in the plaintiffs’ filing with the New York Supreme Court on October 19.
In response to the lawsuit, ConsenSys has labeled the allegations made by the plaintiffs as “meritless.”
