Tim Draper Warns of Crypto Scams Using His AI-Synthesized Voice

American venture capitalist Tim Draper has issued a cautionary message on social media regarding scammers who are exploiting an artificial intelligence (AI) voice generator to deceive cryptocurrency users.

In a post dated October 19, Draper alerted his approximately 254,000 followers to remain vigilant against “thieves” who are using AI to imitate his voice. He noted that “AI is getting smarter,” which is reflected in reports from followers claiming that they have received messages prompting them to send cryptocurrency under the guise of his identity.
