NHC Announces Kirk Has Strengthened into a Powerful Extratropical Cyclone, According to Reuters
Kirk has evolved into a formidable extratropical cyclone and continues to generate significant swells and pose rip current risks along the U.S. East Coast, according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center.
Currently, Kirk is situated approximately 655 miles (1,055 km) west-northwest of the Azores, with maximum sustained winds reaching 75 miles per hour (120 kph), as reported by the Miami-based agency.
