Bitflyer Donates Cheesy Pies to Shelters in Honor of BTC Pizza Day

Pizza Day marks an important event that took place nearly a decade ago when programmer Laszlo Hanyecz completed the first commercial transaction using Bitcoin (BTC). To honor this beloved community celebration, BitFlyer donated pizzas to various organizations.

BitFlyer’s COO, Joel Edgerton, shared with Cointelegraph that the company personally ordered the pizzas from a local chain and ensured they were delivered to homeless shelters. He stated, "We worked closely with the managers of the shelters to ensure they get the appropriate amount and get there on time."

In celebration of this occasion, BitFlyer is committed to giving back to the community.
