CleanSpark Achieves 30 EH/s Milestone
CleanSpark Inc., known as America’s Bitcoin Miner®, has announced that it has achieved an impressive operational hashrate of 30 EH/s (exahashes per second).
The company’s hashrate has skyrocketed by 200% since October 2023, fueled by significant organic growth, strategic acquisitions, and a fleet upgrade that has improved efficiency by nearly 20%. This enhancement has allowed for a 112% increase in the number of operational machines, resulting in greater computing power with reduced energy consumption.
Looking ahead, CleanSpark anticipates surpassing 37 EH/s by the end of 2024, with ambitions to reach 50 EH/s and beyond in 2025. This additional hashrate is expected to come from the soon-to-be completed acquisition of GRIID Infrastructure Inc. CleanSpark stands as one of the largest publicly traded bitcoin miners in North America, boasting a diverse portfolio of sites across several states, including Georgia, Mississippi, Wyoming, and Tennessee.
CEO Zach Bradford stated, “Reaching 30 EH/s positions us as one of the largest bitcoin miners globally. We have added more operational hashrate than any other miner in 2024. The results we are achieving reflect our commitment to rapid scaling and capital efficiency. Our team’s agility and relentless determination have been crucial to CleanSpark’s success. Timing the market effectively and securing industry-best pricing on rigs and sites have allowed us to capitalize on market opportunities. Throughout this rapid expansion, we’ve also grown our bitcoin treasury to over 8,049 bitcoin. Since October 2021, we have significantly boosted our computing power year over year, quadrupling in 2022, nearly doubling in 2023, and tripling our hashrate in 2024.”
