Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated on Wednesday that Russia has sufficient buyers for its energy resources beyond Western nations. This comment comes as European Union countries strive to significantly decrease their dependence on Russian oil and gas.

Lavrov remarked during a news conference in Muscat, following discussions with his Omani counterpart, “Let the West pay more than it used to pay to the Russian Federation, and let it explain to its population why they should become poorer.”
