Baidu Unveils Ernie 4.0 AI System, Claims Overall Performance ‘On Par with ChatGPT’

Baidu, one of China’s largest technology companies, has launched version 4.0 of its well-known “Ernie” artificial intelligence (AI) large language model (LLM) chatbot.

In a statement translated into English and shared on social media, CEO Robin Li asserted that the updated model “stands on par with GPT-4 in terms of overall performance.”
