Former Bakkt CEO Submits Documents to DoJ Amid Insider Trading Controversy

The former CEO of both Bakkt and Intercontinental, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler, has submitted documentation regarding her trading activities to the U.S. Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Senate Ethics Committee.

Loeffler is attempting to address allegations of improper trading that have emerged after a third party managing her and her partner’s portfolio sold millions of shares soon after Loeffler attended a private Senate hearing on coronavirus in January.
