University of Buenos Aires and Archisinal Collaborate to Revamp UBA Law Facilities with Polkadot

London, United Kingdom, July 2nd, 2024

Web3 data platform Archisinal has announced a partnership with the Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Lab (UBA IALAB) at the University of Buenos Aires. The collaboration aims to develop a Polkadot-based project that will modernize the university’s law facilities.

Archisinal will join forces with UBA’s Web3, Blockchain & AI Lab to apply blockchain technology in design and urbanism. Students, architects, and faculty members interested in the project are encouraged to participate in a contest to convert the faculty’s Hearing Room into a smart classroom.

Utilizing its blockchain platform, Archisinal will leverage Polkadot’s framework to manage the contest, outlining the steps needed for execution and facilitating the project through collective financing enabled by blockchain.

This initiative will serve as a pilot project for Archisinal to demonstrate the value of its concept, allowing it to showcase its minimum viable product (MVP) in an academic and collaborative setting. It represents a significant application of blockchain technology in the educational sector and aims to foster community support within Buenos Aires while enhancing public infrastructure.

The University of Buenos Aires is already exploring the advantages of blockchain technology through its Web3, Blockchain & AI Lab. Archisinal, embedded within the ecosystem, will build on this groundwork and discover new applications for blockchain at UBA.

In January 2023, UBA IALAB, together with adLIB! and its director Marina Marchesotti, formed a partnership with Polkadot Blockchain Academy. This initiative, created by Dr. Gavin Wood, recently held its second edition at the UBA Faculty of Law, yielding numerous benefits for both the academic and Polkadot communities through their ongoing collaboration.

Archisinal’s partnership with UBA is set to spark several future university initiatives. The company recently won a scholarship program from the Decentralized Futures of the Web3 Foundation and triumphed in three hackathons in 2024.

The collaboration between UBA IALAB and Archisinal will serve as a case study for blockchain implementation, supporting academic research and cultivating future industry leaders. Ultimately, it aims to enhance the experience of law students by creating a technological and innovative environment at one of Argentina’s premier educational institutions.
