Russian Missile Strike Claims One Life in Ukraine’s Pavlohrad, According to Governor
KYIV (Reuters) – A Russian missile strike on Friday resulted in the death of one civilian and left at least 30 others injured, including three children, in the Ukrainian city of Pavlohrad, according to regional governor Serhiy Lysak.
Lysak, who oversees the central Dnipropetrovsk region, reported that the attack ignited multiple fires throughout the city and caused significant damage to a high-rise residential building.
Lysak shared on a messaging app that "Thirty people were injured in Pavlohrad. Three of them are children." The victims included a nine-year-old girl and two boys, aged four and 11.
Pavlohrad, an industrial city with a pre-war population of around 100,000, serves as a critical railway hub for the Dnipropetrovsk region, linking it to the eastern part of the country where Russian forces are gradually advancing toward the city of Pokrovsk.
