Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried’s legal team engaged in cross-examination of Nishad Singh, the former engineering director, focusing on the circumstances that led to Alameda Research utilizing funds from the cryptocurrency exchange.

On October 17, courtroom reports indicated that Singh confessed to a significant memory lapse regarding details from June to July 2022 while being questioned by defense attorney Mark Cohen. Singh stated that he was unaware of a software bug that inflated Alameda’s liabilities until he overheard a conversation between Gary Wang, the former chief technology officer at FTX, and Adam Yedidia, a former developer at the firm.
