OpenAI Begins Rollout of Advanced Voice Mode for Some ChatGPT Plus Users, According to Reuters

OpenAI is beginning to implement an advanced voice mode for a select group of ChatGPT Plus users, as announced by the Microsoft-backed artificial intelligence company. The launch of this realistic voice conversation feature was initially scheduled for late June but was postponed to July to ensure it meets the desired standards.

This new audio functionality will enable users to converse with ChatGPT in real time, receiving immediate responses. Additionally, users will be able to interrupt ChatGPT while it is speaking, a feature designed to enhance the realism of conversations—something that has been a challenge for AI assistants.

In June, OpenAI highlighted its efforts to improve the model’s capability to recognize and refuse inappropriate content while enhancing the overall user experience and preparing its infrastructure for scaling the model.

As the competition in the AI sector intensifies, OpenAI is focused on introducing innovative generative AI products to maintain its leadership position as businesses increasingly adopt this technology.
