Brazil’s Lula Appoints New Human Rights Minister, Reports Reuters

Brazil’s President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has appointed state lawmaker Macae Evaristo as the new human rights minister, as announced on a social media platform. This decision comes on the heels of Lula’s dismissal of former human rights minister Silvio Almeida, who was ousted following allegations of sexual harassment involving several women, including another cabinet member.
