Turkey Central Bank States Simplification Relies on Inflation and Stability Outlook, Reports Reuters
ANKARA (Reuters) – The Turkish central bank’s approach to simplifying its monetary policy will be influenced by the inflation outlook and financial stability, according to central bank governor Murat Cetinkaya on Tuesday.
Currently, Turkey’s central bank relies on a complex system of multiple interest rates for policy decisions. During a presentation in Ankara, Cetinkaya expressed the bank’s intention to streamline this process by implementing a single interest rate for funding.
