Oxford Scientists Create GPU-Accelerated Limit Order Book Simulation to Train AI in Trading

A multidisciplinary research team from the University of Oxford has recently introduced JAX-LOB, a GPU-accelerated limit order book (LOB) simulator, marking a significant innovation in this field.

JAX is a powerful tool designed for training high-performance machine learning systems, developed by Google. Within the framework of a LOB simulator, it enables artificial intelligence (AI) models to be trained directly on financial data.

The researchers noted that utilizing JAX-LOB resulted in significant performance improvements compared to traditional CPU-based methods.
