Blinken and Lammy Arrive in Kyiv for Talks with Ukraine’s Leaders, Reports Reuters
KYIV (Reuters) – U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and British Foreign Secretary David Lammy arrived in Kyiv on Wednesday for meetings with high-ranking officials, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
The two leaders reached Kyiv’s main train station as they prepared for a busy agenda amid a critical juncture in the ongoing war. Ukraine has been urging its allies to provide support that would allow deeper strikes into Russian territory using Western weaponry.
"This is a critical moment for Ukraine during an intense fall fighting season, with Russia escalating its aggression," Blinken stated during a news conference in London alongside Lammy on Tuesday.
