Under India’s Group of 20 (G20) presidency, active discussions are taking place regarding the establishment of a global framework for cryptocurrencies, as stated by India’s Minister of Finance, Nirmala Sitharaman.
On August 28, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the need for international collaboration on creating cryptocurrency regulations among G20 member countries, which include 19 nations and the European Union. Modi advocates that emerging technologies, such as cryptocurrencies, which have a global impact, should be accompanied by comprehensive regulations and frameworks that are universally recognized.
