ICOs Can ‘Prove Their Legitimacy’ Under New Crowdfunding Rules, Says EU Lawmaker

The Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs of the European Parliament is currently developing new regulations for crowdfunding, which may also encompass certain initial coin offerings (ICOs), as indicated in a draft report released on August 10.

Ashley Fox, a British Member of the European Parliament (MEP), has suggested that some ICOs be included in a new regulatory framework for crowdfunding that has been in progress since March.
