US NHC Forecasts 30% Chance of Cyclone Near Leeward Islands, According to Reuters

A low pressure system has been detected several hundred miles east of the Leeward Islands, with the U.S. National Hurricane Center indicating a 30% chance of it developing into a cyclone within the next 48 hours.

The Miami-based forecaster noted that environmental conditions are predicted to become even less favorable for development over the weekend as the system progresses slowly in a west-northwest direction.
