Indonesia Stocks Close Lower; IDX Composite Index Down 0.01%

Indonesia’s stock market experienced a decline on Tuesday, driven by losses across various sectors.

By the end of trading in Jakarta, the index fell by 0.01%.

Among the session’s top performers was Victoria Care Indonesia Tbk, which surged by 525.00 points, ending at 625.00. Jaya Sukses Makmur Sentosa Tbk PT followed closely with a gain of 507.36 points, closing at 990.00. Pelita Samudera Shipping Tbk PT also saw an impressive increase of 220.00 points, finishing the day at 432.00.

Conversely, Bank Artha Graha Internasional suffered the most significant losses, plummeting by 9,680.00 points to close at 70.00. Asuransi Harta Aman Pratama Tbk PT dropped 4,132.00 points to end at 118.00, while Omni Inovasi Indonesia Tbk PT fell by 300.00 points to finish at 10.00.

Overall, declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange, with 399 declines compared to 261 advancers, while 178 stocks remained unchanged.

In the commodities market, crude oil for November delivery rose by 1.69% to $71.56 per barrel. Brent oil for December delivery increased by 1.50% to $74.31 per barrel. Meanwhile, December Gold Futures experienced a slight uptick of 0.02%, trading at $2,652.95 per troy ounce.

The USD/IDR exchange rate was up 0.01% to 15,180.70, while the AUD/IDR dropped by 0.06% to 10,373.42. Additionally, the US Dollar Index Futures saw a minor decline of 0.04%, resting at 100.52.
