EU Commission Approves Swisscom-Vodafone Italia Deal, Reports Reuters

GDANSK (Reuters) – The European Commission has approved Swisscom’s acquisition of Vodafone Italia under the foreign subsidies regulation, the Swiss telecommunications company announced on Tuesday.

The transaction is still pending other regulatory approvals, including authorization from the Italian competition authority.

Swisscom anticipates that the deal will be finalized in the first quarter of 2025.
