Geron Declines on Offering, Inter Parfums Rises on Upgraded Guidance

Vyant Bio Inc experienced a significant increase of 118% after announcing the engagement of LifeSci Capital as its financial advisor to explore various strategic options aimed at boosting shareholder value.

Geron Corporation saw its shares drop by 11% as it plans to offer and sell $175 million worth of its common stock through an underwritten public offering. This follows a 33% intra-day rise due to positive drug data.

Personalis, Inc. reported a 10% increase, estimating fourth-quarter revenue of approximately $16.7 million and total annual revenue of around $65 million for 2022, surpassing its previous guidance of $63 to $64 million. The consensus prediction for Q4 revenue was $15.3 million.

Richardson Electronics Ltd shared a 7% increase in its stock, reporting second-quarter earnings per share (EPS) of $0.39, exceeding the analyst estimate of $0.29. Revenue for the quarter was $65.9 million, compared to the consensus estimate of $64.5 million.

Inter Parfums, Inc. experienced a 5% rise as it raised its guidance for the year ending December 31, 2022, due to stronger-than-anticipated fourth-quarter sales. The company now expects full-year net sales of $1.08 billion, up from the previous estimate of $1.025 billion. As a result of this increase, it anticipates diluted earnings per share will rise to approximately $3.60 from an earlier estimate of $3.40. Management projects a 23% increase in net sales and a 31% increase in diluted earnings per share compared to 2021. Final 2022 sales results are expected to be announced around January 23, 2023, with full-year results following on February 28, 2023.

Simulations Plus saw a 3% decline after reporting first-quarter EPS of $0.06, which was $0.03 lower than the analyst estimate of $0.09. Revenue for the quarter was reported at $11.96 million, below the consensus estimate of $12.39 million. For FY2023, Simulations Plus forecasts EPS of between $0.63 and $0.67, compared to a consensus of $0.64, and anticipates revenue between $59.3 million and $62 million, against a consensus of $61.27 million.

T-Mobile US, Inc. experienced a 2% boost after announcing a record high of 6.4 million postpaid net customer additions, outperforming the upper guidance range.
