
Belgium Stocks Rise at Close of Trade; BEL 20 up 0.13%
Belgium’s stock market experienced gains after closing on Tuesday, with notable increases in various sectors.
By the end of trading in Brussels, the overall index rose by 0.13%.
Among the session’s top performers was Aperam SA, which saw an increase of 4.67%, gaining 1.16 points to reach a closing price of 26.00. UCB SA also performed well, up 2.82% or 4.60 points, ending at 168.00, while D’Ieteren NV gained 2.07%, rising 3.90 points to close at 191.90.
Conversely, the worst-performing stocks included Galapagos NV, which fell by 2.71% or 0.72 points, closing at 25.84. Argen-X experienced a decline of 2.39%, losing 11.50 points to finish at 468.70, and KBC Groep NV was down 0.99%, decreasing by 0.70 points to 70.32.
On the Brussels Stock Exchange, declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones by a margin of 50 to 49, with 14 remaining unchanged.
UCB SA reached an all-time high, rising 2.82% or 4.60 points to close at 168.00.
In commodities markets, Gold Futures for December increased by 0.69%, or 18.30, to $2,670.80 per troy ounce. Crude oil for November delivery rose by 1.72%, gaining 1.21 to reach $71.58 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract increased by 1.75%, up 1.28, trading at $74.49 a barrel.
In currency trading, the EUR/USD pair remained stable at 1.12, and the EUR/GBP pair showed minimal change at 0.83.
Meanwhile, the US Dollar Index Futures declined by 0.27%, settling at 100.29.
