Alignment Healthcare Maintains High-Quality Medicare Advantage Plans, Achieving 4 Stars or Greater for 98% of Members in 2025
Alignment Healthcare, Inc. has announced that 98% of its Alignment Health Plan members are enrolled in plans rated 4 stars or higher by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for 2025. Each year, CMS assesses Medicare Advantage plans using a 5-star rating system, where 5 stars indicate “excellent” performance. This system assists Medicare beneficiaries in comparing health plans by quality and performance.

Key Highlights of Alignment Health Plan’s 2025 Star Ratings:
- 98% of its members are in plans rated 4 stars or higher.
- The company’s California HMO contract, which accounts for approximately 86% of its Medicare Advantage membership, has achieved an overall 4-out-of-5-star rating for the eighth consecutive year.
- Its HMO contract in Nevada and North Carolina has maintained an overall 5-star rating for the third consecutive year.
- The California PPO has achieved an overall 4.5-star rating.
CMS’s 5-star ratings system is based on various factors, including member feedback, retention rates, complaints about a plan, and other clinical quality metrics.
Medicare’s annual enrollment period is set from October 15 to December 7 for plan benefits starting January 1, 2025.
