Amazon FTC Lawsuit Assigned to Reagan-Appointed Judge, According to Reuters

A senior U.S. district judge, appointed by former Republican President Ronald Reagan, has been assigned to oversee the Federal Trade Commission’s antitrust lawsuit against Amazon.com.

John C. Coughenour, who has served on the bench since being nominated in 1981, is known for his involvement in several high-profile cases, including that of Ahmed Ressam, the individual infamously labeled the “Millennium Bomber,” who was convicted in connection with a plot to detonate explosives at Los Angeles International Airport in 2000.
