Multinational technology corporation Apple has reportedly acquired the rights to author Michael Lewis’ upcoming book about former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried for $5 million, following a competitive bidding process.

As reported on September 7, Apple has secured the rights to the book titled Going Infinite: The Rise and Fall of a New Tycoon, scheduled for release on October 3, coinciding with the start of Bankman-Fried’s trial in New York. Lewis hinted at the October release during a conference in Miami, targeting the timing of the former FTX CEO’s criminal proceedings.

The book is expected to provide an insightful look into the rise and fall of one of the cryptocurrency industry’s notable figures.
