Turkey Stocks Rise at Close of Trade; BIST 100 Up 2.06%

Turkey’s stock market saw gains after the close on Thursday, driven by positive performances in various sectors.

By the end of the trading session in Istanbul, the main index climbed 2.06%.

Among the top performers, Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS led with a 5.47% increase, adding 1.50 points to reach a closing price of 28.94. Akbank TAS followed closely, rising by 4.78% or 2.80 points to finish at 61.35. Gubre Fabrikalari TAS also performed well, gaining 4.68% or 8.80 points to close at 197.00.

On the other hand, the worst performers included Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS, which saw a decline of 2.67% or 14.00 points, bringing its price to 511.00 at the close. Migros Ticaret AS dropped by 2.65% or 14.00 points to settle at 513.50, and Enerya Enerji AS fell 2.56% or 5.70 points to reach 216.80.

Overall, advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange, with 469 stocks rising compared to 100 that fell, while 11 remained unchanged.

In commodity trading, December gold futures rose by 0.40% or 10.45 to settle at $2,609.05 per troy ounce. Crude oil for November delivery increased by 2.07% or 1.45, reaching $71.33 a barrel, and the November Brent oil contract climbed 1.89% or 1.39 to trade at $75.04 a barrel.

In the currency market, the USD/TRY decreased by 0.11% to 34.03, while the EUR/TRY experienced a slight rise of 0.09% to 37.92. The US Dollar Index Futures was also up 0.21% at 100.49.
