Israeli Military Strikes Senior Hamas Commanders in Gaza, According to Reuters
JERUSALEM (Reuters) – On Tuesday, the Israeli military announced that it had targeted senior Hamas commanders located in a command center within a designated humanitarian zone in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis.
According to the military, these individuals were involved in planning the October 7th attack and had recently been engaged in terror activities.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) further stated that the casualty figures released by authorities in Gaza do not reflect the information available to them, stating discrepancies in the types of munitions used and the accuracy of the strikes.
Those specifically targeted in the operation included the leaders of Hamas’ aerial unit and its observation and targets department.
