Brazil’s Bolsonaro Undergoes Abdominal Drainage, Expected Recovery by Next Week
Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro has recovered from a recent fever, but doctors discovered and drained a buildup of fluid in the area where his colostomy bag was reattached to his intestine, according to his spokesman General Otavio Rego Barros.
Bolsonaro is currently in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Sao Paulo following the removal of the colostomy bag he had relied on since being stabbed in the abdomen during last year’s election campaign. His spokesman confirmed that he is no longer experiencing fever or pain but will remain hospitalized until next Monday.
