The widely used artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT has experienced a decline in global user traffic for the third straight month in August, according to data from an analytics company.

In August, the traffic to OpenAI’s chatbot on both desktop and mobile platforms fell by 3.2%, totaling 1.43 billion visits. This decline follows a significant 10% drop in traffic observed two months earlier. Additionally, the average time users spent on the site also decreased slightly, from 8.7 minutes to 7 minutes in August.

The trend indicates a notable shift in user engagement with ChatGPT, particularly among younger demographics in the U.S. and worldwide.
