China’s JD Unveils JD Blockchain Open Platform by Cryptovest

Chinese e-commerce leader JD.com announced on Friday the launch of a blockchain platform designed for enterprise clients. This new platform will assist customers in developing, hosting, and utilizing their own blockchain applications for operations management. Named the JD Blockchain Open Platform, it leverages innovative technologies that enable users to create and customize smart contracts on both public and private enterprise clouds.

The platform aims to enhance operational efficiency in various areas, including tracking goods, managing charity donations, assessing property, verifying authenticity, handling digital copyrights, and facilitating transaction settlements, among others.

This initiative is part of JD’s Retail as a Service (RaaS) strategy expansion, which indicates the company’s willingness to share its advanced technologies with other businesses.
