Crypto Millionaires Surpass 88,000, Report Finds

A recent report by investment migration firm Henley and Partners indicates that there are approximately 88,200 crypto millionaires globally, with nearly half holding Bitcoin (BTC). The data shows that around 40,500 millionaires possess Bitcoin, despite recent price volatility.

The report also notes that the number of cryptocurrency users worldwide has surpassed 425 million, with approximately 210 million of those users owning Bitcoin. Additionally, there are only 182 “centi-millionaires,” defined as individuals with over $100 million in digital assets, while the number of crypto billionaires stands at 22, with just six of them holding Bitcoin.

Henley and Partners rank Singapore as the most crypto-friendly nation, attributing its status to favorable tax policies, public adoption, innovation, and key economic factors. Following Singapore, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Hong Kong are identified as the next leading crypto hubs.

Despite stringent regulations surrounding cryptocurrencies, the United States is recognized among the top 10 global locations for crypto activity. Furthermore, a survey conducted by Citi reveals that many companies are still seeking to integrate blockchain technology, even in the aftermath of the collapse of prominent crypto firms like FTX.

Another survey from blockchain software company Consensys suggests that individuals in Asia and Africa exhibit a higher propensity to invest in cryptocurrencies, with significant interest noted from countries such as Nigeria, South Africa, the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, and India.
