Dell Asks Global Sales Team to Return to Five Days a Week in Office, Memo States

By Jaspreet Singh

Dell Technologies has announced that employees in their global sales team who can work from the company’s offices will be required to do so five days a week, effective September 30. This decision, outlined in an internal memo, aims to foster a collaborative environment and enhance skill development, emphasizing that remote work should be the exception rather than the norm.

Sales field representatives are expected to spend the entire week engaging with customers and partners or working from the office. Previously, the requirement was to work from the office three days a week. Dell stated that remote sales team members who are unable to visit an office should continue working remotely.

The company also indicated that further details regarding remote work arrangements would be shared in the coming weeks.

Since the pandemic, many businesses have embraced remote work, but some tech companies are now urging employees to return to the office for two to three days a week. Recently, Amazon announced a similar shift, requiring employees to return to the office five days a week starting next year, intensifying their earlier three-day policy.
