Denmark Stocks Rise at Close of Trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 Increases by 1.23%

Denmark’s stock market experienced gains following the close on Thursday, driven by positive performance in various sectors.

At the end of trading in Copenhagen, the main index rose by 1.23%.

The top performers of the day included Rockwool International B, which saw an increase of 3.21% or 96.00 points, bringing its price to 3,084.00. NKT Holding followed closely, up 2.85% or 18.50 points to close at 667.00, while Zealand Pharma A/S also rose by 2.57% or 23.00 points to 918.00.

On the other hand, the worst-performing stocks included GN Store Nord, which declined by 2.31% or 3.90 points, ending at 163.00. Oersted AS saw a decrease of 1.77% or 7.70 points to finish at 427.80, and Demant A/S was down 0.85% or 2.40 points, closing at 280.20.

Overall, rising stocks outnumbered those that fell on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, with 85 advancing, 51 declining, and 14 remaining unchanged.

Notably, Rockwool International B reached a 52-week high, while NKT Holding achieved all-time highs.

In commodities, crude oil for November delivery rose by 1.87% or 1.31 to $71.19 per barrel. Additionally, Brent oil for November delivery increased by 1.72% or 1.27 to $74.92 per barrel, and December gold futures gained 0.43% or 11.20, trading at $2,609.80 per troy ounce.

In currency trading, the USD/DKK exchange rate decreased by 0.22% to 6.69, while the EUR/DKK rate remained stable at 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures saw a rise of 0.19%, reaching 100.47.
