Did Satoshi Just Move Craig Wright’s Bitcoins?
On May 20, there were reports suggesting that Satoshi Nakamoto might have reactivated his account to transfer 50 Bitcoins (BTC) that were mined in February 2009. Further investigation revealed that these are not just any Bitcoins; they are those that Dr. Craig Wright has claimed as his own.
The transaction involved moving 50 BTC to two different addresses, with a division of 40 and 10 BTC. This division mirrors the historic first-ever Bitcoin transfer, which sent 10 BTC from Satoshi to computer scientist Hal Finney. The coins in this recent transaction were mined on February 9, 2009, and had remained inactive for eleven years.
