Economy Continues to Recover Despite Some Weakness – Reuters
Japan’s Economy Minister, Nobuteru Ishihara, indicated on Monday that while the economy exhibits some signs of weakness, it is generally on a path of moderate recovery.
Ishihara noted that Japan’s economic rebound is expected to be fueled by private demand. However, he cautioned that the government must remain vigilant regarding potential risks, particularly related to slowing growth in emerging markets and uncertainties surrounding Britain’s exit from the European Union. These remarks came following the release of the nation’s gross domestic product (GDP) data for the April-June quarter.
