EOS Network Unveils $250M Staking Program By Chainwire
Calgary, Canada, July 9th, 2024 – Today, the EOS Network announces the launch of a $250 million EOS staking rewards program as part of its updated tokenomics initiative.
In the new staking rewards structure, 85,600 EOS tokens will be distributed daily to stakers. The revised EOS staking program offers significant incentives for early participants, with an initial annual percentage yield (APY) exceeding 60%. Over the course of a year, more than 31 million EOS tokens will be allocated to stakers.
The EOS Staking Rewards Program features additional enhancements, including an increase in the staking lock-up period, which now extends from four days to 21 days. Furthermore, EOS Block Producers (BPs) will start receiving network-generated fees on top of their block rewards, providing extra motivation for infrastructure providers as demand for the network grows.
This updated staking program aims to deliver sustainable rewards for participants while fostering ecosystem expansion.
