Ethereum has experienced a significant surge, trading at $316.59 as of 18:18 (22:18 GMT) on Friday, marking a 10.15% increase on the day. This represents the largest one-day percentage gain since August 17.
As a result of this upward movement, Ethereum’s market capitalization rose to $31.74 billion, accounting for 14.37% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its peak, Ethereum’s market cap reached $135.58 billion.
In the preceding twenty-four hours, Ethereum traded within a range of $285.78 to $316.88. However, over the past week, Ethereum has seen a decline in value, losing 8.34%. The trading volume for Ethereum in the last twenty-four hours was $1.91 billion, representing 11.88% of the total trading volume across all cryptocurrencies. In the past week, its trading range has been between $250.84 and $332.52.
Despite the recent gains, Ethereum is still down 77.76% from its all-time high of $1,423.20, which was reached on January 13.
