Dora Announces Closure of $5.5M Early Stage Funding Round Co-Led by Dragonfly and Lemniscap

New York, New York, July 9th, 2024 – Chainwire

Dora, a unified search and action engine designed for the multichain landscape, is thrilled to announce the successful completion of a $5.5 million early-stage funding round. The funding was co-led by Dragonfly Capital and Lemniscap, with contributions from Robot Ventures, Ethereal Ventures, Maven11, and Arche Capital. Key angel investors, including Rushi Manche, Co-Founder of Movement Labs, and Dino Savonin, Co-Founder of Fluent, also participated. The capital will enhance Dora’s innovative search capabilities, improve crosschain transaction functions, and broaden collaborations with various blockchain networks.

As the only multichain search engine that provides integrated search and crosschain transaction functionalities, Dora plays a critical role in the ongoing integration of online and onchain infrastructures. Its advanced block explorer and search tools allow users and developers to easily access onchain data, which is essential for promoting the overall adoption of blockchain technology.

Dora currently supports over 20 chains, including Arbitrum, Base, Celo, Scroll, Rari, Palm, and Xai.

The Dora platform offers a comprehensive multichain block explorer for EVM chains, APIs to access enriched token and NFT data, and well-structured data for efficient retrieval, powered by Goldsky and Simplehash. It features transaction capabilities like swaps and mints, as well as an integrated wallet. These services provide a robust solution for blockchain networks seeking to boost developer engagement and foster ecosystem activity.

This funding round follows significant backing for Dora from industry leaders, including the largest grant ever awarded to an Arbitrum subDAO, as well as grants from Gnosis, Scroll, and the Ocelot treasury for Celo.

“The golden age of web2 coincided with the rise of search engines. To achieve widespread adoption of onchain products and services, we need a dedicated crypto search engine,” stated Bunny, CEO and Co-Founder of Dora. “This funding round reflects our investors’ strong belief in our mission to create a seamless, unified multichain experience. By enhancing interactivity at the Discoverability Layer, we aim to drive the mass adoption of blockchain technology and facilitate the transition to a multichain and increasingly multiVM ecosystem.”

Tom Schmidt, Partner at Dragonfly, remarked, “Dora’s goal of making on-chain data accessible and interactive aligns perfectly with our vision for blockchain’s future. Their comprehensive search and exploration tools are unlocking new possibilities within the space. We are confident their innovative strategies will significantly accelerate the adoption of decentralized technologies.”

Tarun Chitra, Partner at Robot Ventures, added, “Dora is leading the way in making blockchain data understandable and accessible to a broader demographic. Their integrated approach to multiple chains within a single search experience is groundbreaking. We believe their technology will be crucial in promoting the wider acceptance of blockchain and decentralized applications. In a world with a multitude of blockchains, Dora will simplify the experience for end users.”

Roderik van der Graaf, Founder of Lemniscap, stated, “We are excited to co-lead this funding round for Dora, reflecting our commitment to supporting transformative technologies in the blockchain sector. Their distinctive approach to search and interactivity within the multichain environment positions them as a key player in fostering mass adoption, and we are eager to support their journey.”
