Celo Foundation Launches Mainnet After Securing $40 Million Funding

The Celo Foundation has announced the launch of its Mainnet following a successful funding round that raised $40 million to support its blockchain platform.

In a recent blog post, Celo shared that the transfer of Celo Gold (cGLD), which is an ERC-20 token, is now possible through on-chain governance. This advancement allows exchanges to seamlessly integrate with the platform. The foundation expressed gratitude towards the dedication, expertise, and engagement of over 100 independent validators from around the globe who contributed to making the network operational.
