FAA Approves October 7 Flight for SpaceX Falcon 9 Vehicle, Reports Reuters
SpaceX Falcon 9 Cleared for Upcoming Launch
The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is set to return to flight for a scheduled mission on October 7 from a launch site in Florida, according to the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
In an announcement, the FAA stated that the Falcon 9 is cleared for the Hera mission, emphasizing that this mission’s design reduces the primary risk to public safety. Notably, the absence of a second-stage reentry for this particular mission addresses concerns stemming from a previous incident involving the Crew-9 mission.
The upcoming launch is expected to take place from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
