Factbox: Airlines Suspend Flights Amid Rising Middle East Tensions, by Reuters

Concerns about a potential escalation of conflict in the Middle East have led several international airlines to suspend flights to the region or reroute to avoid affected airspace. Below are some of the airlines that have made adjustments to their services:

AEGEAN AIRLINES
The Greek airline has canceled flights to and from Beirut until October 31 and to and from Tel Aviv until October 13.

AIR ALGERIE
Algerian airline has suspended flights to and from Lebanon until further notice.

AIRBALTIC
Latvia’s airBaltic has canceled flights to and from Tel Aviv until October 31.

AIR EUROPA
The Spanish airline has canceled flights to Tel Aviv until October 14.

AIR FRANCE-KLM
Air France has extended its suspension of flights between Paris and Tel Aviv until October 15, and Paris and Beirut until October 26. KLM has also extended the suspension of flights to Tel Aviv until at least the end of this year. The low-cost carrier Transavia, part of the Franco-Dutch group, has canceled flights to and from Tel Aviv until March 31, 2025, and to Amman and Beirut until November 3.

AIR INDIA
The Indian flag carrier has suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv until further notice.

BULGARIA AIR
The Bulgarian airline has canceled flights to and from Israel until October 31.

CATHAY PACIFIC
Cathay Pacific has canceled all flights to Tel Aviv until March 27, 2025.

DELTA AIR LINES
The U.S. airline has paused flights between New York and Tel Aviv through December 31.

EASYJET
The UK budget airline ceased flights to and from Tel Aviv in April and plans to resume on March 30, 2025.

EMIRATES
Emirates canceled flights to Beirut through October 15 and resumed flights to Amman from October 6 and to Iraq and Iran from October 8.

FLYDUBAI
The Emirati airline has suspended flights between Dubai and Beirut until October 31.

IAG
British Airways, under the IAG umbrella, canceled flights to and from Tel Aviv through October 26. Iberia Express has canceled flights to Tel Aviv until October 31, and Vueling has suspended operations to Tel Aviv until January 12, 2025, with flights to Amman canceled until further notice.

IRAN AIR
The Iranian airline has canceled all flights to and from Beirut until further notice.

IRAQI AIRWAYS
The Iraqi national carrier has suspended flights to Beirut until further notice.

ITA AIRWAYS
Italy’s ITA Airways extended the suspension of flights to Tel Aviv through October 31.

LOT
The Polish flag carrier has canceled flights to Tel Aviv until October 26, with the first scheduled flight to Beirut expected on April 1, 2025.

LUFTHANSA GROUP
The German airline group has suspended flights to Tel Aviv until October 31, and flights to Tehran are halted through October 26. Flights to Beirut are suspended until November 30. They will not use Iranian and Iraqi airspace until further notice, except for a corridor for flights to and from Erbil in Iraqi Kurdistan. Additionally, Israeli airspace will not be used until October 31. SunExpress, a joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, has also suspended flights to Beirut through December 17.

PEGASUS
The Turkish airline has canceled flights to Beirut until October 28.

RYANAIR
Europe’s biggest budget airline has canceled flights to and from Tel Aviv until October 26.

QATAR AIRWAYS
The Qatari airline has temporarily suspended flights to and from Iraq, Iran, and Lebanon.

SUNDAIR
The German airline has canceled flights between Berlin and Beirut and Bremen and Beirut until October 31.

UNITED AIRLINES
The Chicago-based airline has suspended flights to Tel Aviv for the foreseeable future.

VIRGIN ATLANTIC
The UK carrier has extended its suspension of flights to Tel Aviv until the end of March 2025.

WIZZ AIR
The Hungary-based airline has suspended flights to and from Israel through October 8.
