A recent opinion poll indicates a competitive race between Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her Republican opponent Donald Trump in the critical states of Michigan and Wisconsin. The survey, conducted by the New York Times and Siena College, shows that Harris has garnered 48% support among likely voters in Michigan, while Trump follows closely with 47%. In Wisconsin, Harris holds a slight edge with 49% compared to Trump’s 47%.
The data for the polls were collected via telephone interviews with a total of 688 likely voters in Michigan and 680 in Wisconsin, conducted from September 21 to September 26. The margin of error for the likely voter samples is approximately plus or minus four percentage points.
Additionally, the polls reveal that Harris has a significant nine-point advantage over Trump in Nebraska’s Second Congressional District, a pivotal area that could play a crucial role in the Electoral College.
