Finland Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; OMX Helsinki 25 Up 1.30%

Finland’s stock market experienced an uptick following Tuesday’s trading session, propelled by gains in various sectors.

At the end of trading in Helsinki, the index rose by 1.30%.

Among the top performers of the session was Outokumpu Oyj, which saw a 3.37% increase, translating to a rise of 0.11 points, to reach a closing price of 3.47. Additionally, Stora Enso Oyj R gained 3.16%, or 0.34 points, closing at 11.10, while Metsa Board Oyj B rose by 2.88%, or 0.18 points, to finish at 6.26.

Conversely, the session’s worst performers included Kojamo, which declined by 1.50%, equivalent to 0.16 points, ending at 10.50. Qt Group Oyj fell by 0.84%, or 0.75 points, to close at 89.05, while Orion Oyj B dropped by 0.32%, or 0.15 points, finishing at 47.04.

Overall, there were more rising stocks than declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange, with 107 advancing, 58 falling, and 21 remaining unchanged.

In commodities, Brent oil for December delivery increased by 1.61%, or 1.18, to $74.39 per barrel. Similarly, crude oil for November delivery rose by 1.59%, or 1.12, reaching $71.49 per barrel, while the December gold futures contract climbed 0.57%, or 15.15, trading at $2,667.65 per troy ounce.

In the currency market, the EUR/USD remained steady with a slight change of 0.35% to 1.12, and EUR/GBP was also unchanged, with a 0.14% variation to 0.83. Meanwhile, the US Dollar Index futures decreased by 0.22% to 100.34.
