
Ford Unveils F-150 Lightning Flash Emphasizing Technology
Ford has unveiled the F-150 Lightning Flash, an innovative electric pickup truck featuring an extended-range battery and advanced BlueCruise technology. The starting price for the F-150 Lightning Flash is $69,995, with online ordering set to commence in early 2024.
Marin Gjaja, Chief Operating Officer at Ford Model e, highlighted the truck’s development as a testament to Ford’s dedication to customer engagement. “The F-150 Lightning Flash is a direct outcome of engaging with and learning from our customers. This truck combines many of the technology-forward features our customers love in our EV lineup, at a more accessible price. With an EPA-estimated range of 320 miles, the Lightning Flash exemplifies how swiftly we are adapting to expand our EV business,” stated Gjaja.
The F-150 Lightning Flash is based on the XLT trim level and includes a variety of desirable technological features. Alongside the extended-range battery with an EPA range of 320 miles and BlueCruise functionality, the Flash model comes with a 15.5-inch touchscreen, a premium B&O sound system with HD radio and eight speakers, and a wireless charging pad, among other amenities.
As of Tuesday’s closing, Ford shares witnessed a decline of 1.64%.
